Real Estate Activity Picking Up As Summer Winds Down

This summer was long and hot, but we are almost on the other side.

Football and the start of the school year are clear signs of Fall approaching.

After being in the duldrums in late July and much of August, the local real estate market is showing signs of picking up steam, and I expect it to stay busy through the Election / Thanksgiving.

Closed sales prices appear to be flattening a bit after home sellers chased the rabbit all Spring and Summer with higher list prices thanks to the sellers market we are in.

With interest rates low, affordability remains high, making this a great time for many people to buy and / or sell their home, depending upon their unique circumstances.

If someone you know is planning to make a move in 2016, Sept / Oct are the months to take action.
